If you’re going to spend time getting into the details, why not know ahead of time that you’re focused on the right trees in this particular forest?
If you’ve taken the time to understand the real problem, why not go the extra mile and get to know if your potential solution will make an impact for those who are going to use it?
You’ve solved the problem. That’s great, but the job’s only half done. Do you have what it takes to make your solution look good and easy to understand?
